HIR

"HIR" by Taylor Mac is a modern play about a family struggling to fit in with a rapidly progressing society. The play centers around the main character, Isaac, and his family, who have descended into a bit of a madness since he left for the Navy. This play has a very grungy and dirty air about it, with elements of heavy tension. There is also a heavy clown theme in the text itself. I wanted to capture the dark, cynical humor of the play in my designs. I also aimed to represent this sort of, in crude terms, "white trash," low society Americana, which is a theme I enjoy working with.
